Cio Prints began during my usual daydreaming during an Art History lecture. With my cousin's baby shower on the way I couldn't help but plan all the details whenever the opportunity arouse. The closer the date came the harder it was to focus, all I could think about was the shower and making sure every detail was covered. The date popped up quickly and before I knew it the party was over. I received rave reviews for all the guests and more importantly the proud momma to be. I couldn't believe it the party was over and it felt like something was missing. I needed another party, the party bug had bit me and I had to plan another. I found myself asking everyone I knew, "When's your next party?" Sadly their party ship's had sailed without me, I had to figure out how to fill the void and fast.

I talked things over with my best friend and fiance, Jordan. We decided we should keep the party going full time. First we needed a name, we quickly discovered our choice was taken by another. We had oficially hit the wall, we looked at other company names and began wondering how do they do it? Is it this hard or do they say whatever comes to mind? In a joking manner Jordan blurts Cio and I knew that was it we had it. Now we had to figure out what we were about, and what exactly we were going to do. We knew we didn't want to focus on commercial themed parties, we wanted something that reflected who you were and what you liked, a day that was truely all about you. Something that was as unique and creative as the person being celebrated.

We decided to stick with kids right from the beginnning, from the bun in the oven till about age 12.
